of Nellie St, died Sunday at home. She was the loving wife of Jose Ocampo. They have been married for 26 years.

Born in Colombia, migrating to the United States in 1982, she was a daughter of Maria Dolores Cano of Colombia. Nubia was an active member of the Catholic Community and performed many humanitarian services throughout her life. She attended CCRI receiving an associate’s degree in Social Services.

She had been employed by the Salvation Army for the past 15 years of her beautiful life.

Besides her husband and mother, she will be dearly missed by her son, Kevin Ocampo of Providence and a granddaughter, Arianna Ocampo.

Her funeral will be Thursday at 9:30am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Edward Church, 997 Branch Ave, Providence at 11am. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends invited, calling hours Wednesday 5-9pm. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Nubia A. Ocampo Scholarship Fund, c/o PO Box 6126 Central Falls, RI 02863.
