92, died on May 23, 2014 with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Thibeault. Dorothy, a devout Catholic, was a lector and eucharistic minister, as well as a long-time choir member of St. Joseph's Church in Cumberland, RI. She also served as a lector at LaSalette Shrine in Attelboro, MA for many years. She was a volunteer reader for Insight for the Blind and a member of the Cumberland - Lincoln Community Chorus well into her eighties. In 1983 she earned a bachelor of arts degree from URI, thereby fulfilling a lifelong dream. She achieved membership in the Phi Beta Kappa Society. In addition, she was an avid reader and crossword puzzle enthusiast, passions her children and grandchildren now share.
She is survived by her children, Judith S. Mitiguy and her husband James, Joanne Donovan and her husband Charles, Elizabeth Federman, Jonathan Thibeault, Patrick Thibeault and his wife Cheryl and Thomas Thibeault and ten grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Mary Ellen and Sue Ellen Thibeault.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:45am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in Historic St. Joseph Church, Mendon Rd, Cumberland at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Monday from 6 to 8pm. Should you prefer, in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main St, Providence RI 02904.
