Maria is survived by her seven children, Querino Tavares, Henrique Tavares and his wife Eugenia, Rosa Barros, Joao Barros and his wife Maria Macedo, Joana Pina and her husband Miguel, Olivia Rodrigues and her husband John, 42 Grandchildren, 54 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Virginia Gomes.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:45am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian in St. Anthony Church, Lawn Ave, Pawtucket at 10am. Burial will be in North Burial Ground, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 5 to 8pm.
