72, died peacefully on June 12th with his family by his side. He was the devoted husband of the late Otilia (Oliveira) Mancebo.
Born in Terceira, Azores, a son of Francisca (Ormonde) Mancebo of North Providence and the late Jose Rocha Mancebo.
He has been employed as a phlebotomist at Memorial Hospital of RI, Pawtucket for over 25 years. He was an active communicant of St. Anthony's Church and founder/leader of Boy Scout Troup 76 in Pawtucket for 25 years.
He is survived by a daughter, Maria Mancebo Coltey and her husband Gregory, of Cumberland, a son, Joseph A. Mancebo of Lincoln, two esteemed grandsons, Maximus and Owen Coltey, a sister, Connie Barcelos and her husband Manuel, a brother, Joaquim Mancebo, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Arnaldo, and Luis Alberto Mancebo of Brazil.
His funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:45am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christin Burial in St. Anthony Church, Lawn Ave, Pawtucket at 10am. Burial will be graveside at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Monday from 5 to 8pm.
