78, passed on August 3rd. He was the husband of the late Rita (Goudreau) Patenaude and son of the late Arthur E. and Germaine (Boudreau, Patenaude) Kotlarski. After graduating from Providence College, Arthur was one of the original charter members of the American Federation of Teachers Union and became the Head of the Language Department
at Central Falls High School where he taught for 33 years until his retirement in 1990.
An avid Red Sox and Patriots fan, Arthur also enjoyed a lively game of cards with his buddies whenever possible at the Madeira Club in Central Falls. He is survived by four children; Diane Patenaude, Kevin Patenaude and his wife Carolyn, Kenneth Patenaude and his wife Suzanne, and Eric Patenaude and his wife Penny. Beloved by his entire family, Arthur also leaves nine grandchildren and four great grand children. He was the father of the late Debra (Bolduc) Patenaude. Arthur was the loving brother of Pauline Girard, Annette Richard, Robert Patenaude and the late Claire Corrigan. Calling hours will be on Friday, August 8th at the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln from 6 to 8 pm. A Christian Mass will be held on Saturday August 9th at Holy Spirit Parish, Dexter St, at 9:30am.
