85, passed Monday, September 1st. She was the wife of the late Pedro B. Almeida. She was the daughter of the late Pedro A. Martins Araujo and Elvira M. Costa. Maria Immigrated to the USA in 1967 and worked at the Texas Instruments Company for 20 years and was a communicant of Holy Spirit Parish of Central Falls for many years. She is survived by a four daughters, Isabel A Ferreira of Central Falls, Maria D. Goncalves of Central Falls, Dalila Poulin of Smithfield, Teresa Brodeur of Warwick, three sisters, Maria F. Barros of Portugal, Maria dos Prazeres Gomes of Cumberland and Maria S. Maneca both Cumberland. Maria loved and cherished every moment she had with her daughters, 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Jorge B. Almeida, Afonso C. Almeida and Jose C. Almeida.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 8:00 am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Spirit Parish, Dexter St, Central Falls at 9:30 am. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited.
