89, passed on September 11th peacefully at home with his family. He was the son of the late James and Marcella Collins. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Rita (LaFountaine) Collins. Tom was a member of Army Air Corp and served in the Pacific during World War II. He had been employed by Harvest Bread for many years and retired from Wonder Bread in Providence. Both Tom and Rita were co-founders of the ARC of Blackstone Valley. Thomas is also survived by 6 children, Pat Bricault, Thomas Collins, Fred Collins, Nancy Collins, Barbara Collins, and James Collins, six grandchildren, Brenda Mottola, Stephanie Inscore, Kristie Inscore, Erin Collins, Alexis Collins and Adam Bricault, two great-grandchildren, Zachary and Tyler Mottola.
His funeral will be held Monday, September 15th at 8:45 am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Jude Church, Front St., Lincoln at 10 am. Burial with Military Honors will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the ARC of Blackstone Valley, 500 Prospect St, Pawtucket, RI 02860.
