79, died December 27. He was the husband of Judith L. (Wood) Harris, they were married for 38 years. Born in East Providence, He was the son of the late Theodore Harris and Myrtle (Coleman) Harris.
He resided for the past 19 years in East Providence and previously was a long time Providence Resident. Gilbert was a retired employee of the State of R.I. D.O.T., in which he was employed for 35 years.
Besides his wife he is survived by a brother, Thomas Harris of Providence a sister, Delia Gonsalves of North Carolina. 10 children Dennis Horan of Cranston, Robert Horan of Providence, Virginia Sendian of Pawtucket, Traci Marin of North Providence, Trisha Threats of East Providence, Shane Harris of North Providence, Brad Horan of Central Falls, Jason Horan of Pawtucket, Shannon Horan of Cranston and Shawn Horan of Cranston. 19 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was the Brother of the Late Theodore Harris Jr. and Pricilla Jones. He was the father of the late Michael Horan. Services will be private.
