75, passed on March 23rd.
He was the husband of Caroline (Fontes) Amado. They have been married for 34 years.
Born in Mira d-Aire, Portugal, he was a son of the late Joao and Francelina Amado. He had been employed by Collyer Wire for many years before retiring.
Manuel was enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking and was an avid sports fan.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Steven Amado, a sister, Celeste Poloicarpoi and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Saturday, March 28th at 8:45am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, High St, Pawtucket at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited, Calling hours will be held Friday from 5-8pm. Entombment will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
