71, passed unexpectedly on April 1st. He was the husband of Odete (Borges). They have been married for 40 years.
Born in Terceira, Portugal, he left his native country at age of 18 to better the lives of his family.
Manuel was a proprietor of International Meat Market of Central Falls for over 30 years. Manuel gave from the heart and was known for his loving generosity.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Jason Faria and his wife Isabel, Jesse Faria and his wife Tanya, a daughter, Sandra Alves and her husband Larry, two granddaughters, Angelica and Marianella Faria, four sisters, a brother, and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Sandra Faria.
His funeral will be held Wednesday, April 8th at 8:45am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony Church, Lawn Ave, Pawtucket at 10am. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 5 to 9pm.
