86, passed on April 15th at the St. Antoine's Residence, North Smithfield.
Born in Central Falls, a she was a daughter of the late James B. and Mary (Watson) Gorman. She was the sister of the late James H. Gorman and the late Clare Gorman Ryan.
Rose trained as a nurse at Holy Ghost Hospital in Cambridge, MA. She worked at the Mansion Nursing Home and for 40 years at the Miriam Hospital, Providence. Rose loved every minute of her nursing career. She continued to care for all those around her while a resident at St. Antoine's. When Rose retired she shared her faith by working with religious programs at Holy Spirit Parish. Rose was a member of the Holy Trinity's Women's Club, worked on the Parish Council and the Catholic Charity Drive for Holy Trinity Church.
She is survived by her twin brother, Vincent J. Gorman, a resident of St. Antoine's, her cousins James and Sheila Hagan, Dr. Joseph and Patrice Hagan, Judge Walter and Sarah Gorman and Dr. Henry Hanley. She is also survived by her niece Kathleen and Eugene Brady and many close friends at Forand Manor in Central Falls.
Rose's family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at St. Antoine's Residence for their care and companionship.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated TUESDAY, April 21st at 11am at St. Antoine's Chapel, 10 Rhodes Ave, North Smithfield, RI. Visitation will be held SUNDAY, April 19th from 5 to 7pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln.
