97, of Providence, went to be with the Lord on September 26, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Manual Rodrigues and the late Amelia (Gomes) Rodrigues. She was the mother of Andrea Darlene Wheeler, who was also her Caregiver, and the late Rita "Joyce" Miranda. Rita was a lifelong member of the Sheldon Street Church. She had a career in domestic work and she was well known for organizing trips to New York, Canada and Atlantic City and for her love of Flea Markets. She was a generous woman, never forgetting a family member or friend on a birthday or holiday. She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, and a host of great and great great grandchildren. She was the grandmother of the late Harold "Sonny" Isom. She was loved by all who knew her and will be truly missed. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, September 30th from 4 to 6:30pm followed by a service in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be private.
