born in Sao Vicente, Cape Verde, July 31, 1955 to the late Rose and Peter Rocha.
He immigrated to the US at the age of 2 and lived in Providence, RI until relocating to New York as a teenager. Jorge returned to Providence where he started his family and business. He later moved to Virginia where he has resided for the last several years. Jorge was a Master of auto body repair and mechanics. Known for his motto "From Mild to Wild", he owned auto body shops in Providence, RI, Norfolk, VA and most recently opened up his pride and joy, Cape Charles Collision and Towing in Cape Charles, VA.
Jorge is survived by his siblings: Maria Fatima Barros, Victoria Fortes and John Rocha of Pawtucket, Joana DaGraca of Providence, Peter Rocha of Riverside, Antonia Rocha residing in Charlotte, N. Carolina, Joao Rocha residing in France and Carlos Rocha residing in Cape Verde, two sons Jorge Rocha Jr. living in Central Falls, Jason Rocha living in N. Attleboro, MA; two daughters, Jennifer Rocha of East Providence and Dr. Candace Ortiz of Gaithersburg, MD and seven grandchildren.
His Funeral will be held Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 9am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a service at 10am. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, RI. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling Hours will be held Friday from 5pm to 8pm followed by a Masonic Service at 8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the American Heart Association, 1 State St #200, Providence RI 02908 or to the Rocha Scholarship Fund c/o 60 Capwell Ave, pawtucket, RI 02860
