(Bergeron) 90, passed on November 19, 2015. She was the loving wife of the late Leonard J. Nadeau and mother of the late Lenny Nadeau. She is survived by her six daughters, Nancy O'Malley, Peggy Nadeau, Carolyn Nadeau, Connie Whalen, Julie Heineke, and Marie Johnson. Madeline also is survived by 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Madeleine was the loving daughter of the late Joseph Bergeron and Aurora (Lemay) Bergeron. She was the loving sister of Paul Bergeron and the late Robert Bergeron and late Norman Bergeron.
Madeleine was a resident of Central Falls for most of her life. She was a dedicated registered nurse for over 50 years with her last position held at Fatima Hospital as the charge nurse for the orthopedic unit. She spent many years as a Brownie leader and spent many summer vacations volunteering as the nurse at Camp Ker-Anna. She was a passionate advocate for handicap special needs and fought for their rights to have equal education. She loved to travel and loved the ocean. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 25th in Holy Spirit Parish, Dexter Street, Central Falls at 9:30 am followed by burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 8pm at the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln, RI.
