Maria was born in St. Miguel, Azores, Portugal.
She is survived by three daughters, Conceicao da Silva, Julia Silva and Lurdes da Silva, a son, Fernando Neves, 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, two siblings, Ines Pinheiro and Jose Pinheiro. She was the mother of the late Jose and Manuel Neves.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8:30am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa Church, Newport Ave, Pawtucket at 10am. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Friday from 5 pm until 8 pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln, RI 02865.
