"Val", 85, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2016 in Spring Hill, Florida. He was the husband of the late Patricia (Carroll) Papineau.
Born in Central Falls, RI, he was the son of the late Valmore and Herminie (Fredette) Papineau. He resided in Central Falls for most of his life before moving to Spring Hill, Florida 19 years ago. Val retired from the Central Falls School District, RI and was a veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by a son, David Papineau and his wife Margaret of Greenville, RI, a daughter, Lisa Legner and her husband John of Spring Hill, Florida, a brother, Brother Francis Papineau F.A. of New York, seven grandchildren, John Jr., Stephen, Amy, Philip, Valerie, Noelle and Claire, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his siblings: Omer Papineau and Ralph Papineau, Clarice Paulhus, Loretta Santos, Sr. Yvonne Papineau, Irene Gallant, Rita Morton, Theresa Letourneau, Cecile Bousquet and Alice Fernandes
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 30th at 11am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville, RI. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. For online condolences visit www.thekeefefuneralhome.com
