born on January 29, 1951 departed his life on January 18, 2016 at Memorial Hospital, Pawtucket, R.I. with family by his side.
He was the oldest son of the late Johnnie and Margaret Owden of Pensacola, Florida.
James attended the Wedgewood Jr. Sr. High School. He graduated from the George Stone Vocational Tech. He had a passion for cars and music. He was the brother of the late Mary L. Lucas, Dolores L. Haynes, Gloria J. Pace, Napolean, Henry and John Micheal Owden.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Mary Ann Owden; two sons, James and Veletto Owden; two daughters, Audrey Owden and Tiffamy Moore; four sisters, Eva (John) Franklin, Jennifer (Ray) Edwards Provia, Nasharon Spencer and Michelle Owden of Pensacola, Florida; six grandchild, Verletlo Jr, Kharon, Zayvio, Jayden, Jamiel and Anthony; two granddaughters Jayda and Zaniya.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service on Saturday, January 30th at 2 pm in Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln. Visitation will be held Saturday 1 - 2 pm. Burial is private.
