82, passed on February 12th. He was the beloved husband of Daad (Abousik) Mardenli for over 55 years.
Born in Aleppo Syria, the son of the late Antar and Josephine Shabo Mardenli. Afram immigrated with his family to the United States in 1976 and was employed as a supervisor at New England Paper Tube for over 25 years.
He is also survived by three sons, Emile, James and George Mardenli, a daughter, Dolly Rousseau, three brothers, Edmond, Henry and Albert Shabo, grandchildren, Francesca, Julian, Gianna and Domenic and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Antwan Shabo Mardenli and Antoinette Stephens.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from 4 - 8 P.M. in St. Ephraim Syrian Orthodox Church, 215 Washington St., Central Falls, R.I. 02863. A funeral service will follow Wednesday at 10am at St. Ephraim Church. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Ephraim Syrian Orthodox Church.
