102, passed away peacefully on February 19th. She was surrounded by her family and loved ones. Luiza was born in Brava, Cape Verde. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin Mingola and Gertrude Gomes Santiago. She is survived by her only son, Joao Santiago, his wife Maria "Quinha" Santiago and her sister Maria "Biazinha" Goncalves. She is preceeded by her siblings, Eva DaRosa, Lucia Goncalves, Joao Mingola and Joaquim "Djoca" DaSilva. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Henrique Young Muenster "Jose Manuel", Louise Santiago Rios and her husband Eddie, Leslie Santiago-Becerril and her husband Marcelino and
Julia Santos and her husband Antoine and Oliver Spencer and his wife Evelyn. Luiza will be missed by several great-grandchildren, nieces,nephews and friends.
Calling Hours will be on Monday, February 22nd
from 5pm-8pm at the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln, RI. On Tuesday morning a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am in St. Anthony's Church, 32 Lawn Avenue, Pawtucket. All service will begin at the church, please arrive at or prior to 9:45am. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, 661 Prospect St., Pawtucket.
