83, passed on April 10th. He was the husband of Pierrette
(Arbour) Demers. Born in Waterloo, Canada a son of the late Jean Paul Demers and Amanda (Jolin) Demers. He resided most of his life in Central Falls before moving to the Villa at St. Antoine, North Smithfield.
He had been employed by Cadillac Textiles for many years and then worked with his son at Senior Aerospace Metal Bellows and Shaws Supermarket, South Attleboro. Guy had been a Green Beret in the Canadian Army.
Besides his wife he is survived by sons, Peter Demers and his wife Doreen, Claude Demers and his wife Martha Brehm, Andre Demers and his wife Isabelle Alzate and Louie Demers and his wife Donna, a sister, Solange Demers, 5 grandchildren, Ashleigh, Jason, Danielle, Stephanie and David Demers, a great grandson, Logan and several nieces and nephews in Canada. He was the father of the late Sylvain Demers and brother of the late Jacques Demers.
His funeral will be held Wednesday, April 13th at 9am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Jude Church, Front St, Lincoln at 10am. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 5 to 8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the RI Community Food Bank, 200 Niantic Ave, Providence, RI 02907.
