He was the husband of Ilda Goncalves DaSilva. Born in Brava, Cape Verde, a son of the late Bonaventura and Lidia G. DaSilva.
He had been employed by Providence Braid for many years.
Besides his wife he is survived by six children Carolina DaSantos and her husband Teofilo Cardoso, Manuel DaSilva and his wife Shawna, Teresa Fortes, Daniel DaSilva and Rose Marie Spooner and her husband Jason, a daughter-in-law Mary DaSilva, his grandchildren, Xavier, Arianna, Gage, Robert, Julnelle, Troy, Lisa, Jasmine, Bo Jr "BJ", Daniska, Karitza, Megan, Corey, Manny and a host of great grandchildren, siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Bonaventura "Bo" DaSilva.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 10am in St. Edward Church, Weeden St, Pawtucket. Burial will be graveside in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5 to 8pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln.
