76, passed away April 25th at home surrounded by her children after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Born in Providence, daughter of the late Arthur and Edna (Jacobs) Octeau.
She was employed by International Display in Pawtucket, RI until her retirement in 2005. Janice resided with her daughter in Narragansett RI. Janice also lived in Central Falls, Attleboro and Maine. Janice was the devoted mother to her six children, Kevin Parker, Susan Laflamme, Colleen Allard, Scott Parker, Steve Parker, and the late Deborah Brousseau, two wonderful son-in-laws, Michael Laflamme and Kenneth Brousseau. Janice also leaves behind twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren, two brothers David and Robert Octeau and a sister Pamela Diner. The funeral will be held Friday at 8:30 am from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael's Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield at 10am. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4 to 7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Association, RI Chapter, 245 Waterman St, Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906.
