71, passed peacefully at home on May 7th. She was the wife of the late Allan Battersby. Joyce was the daughter of the late John and Marjorie Mocogni.
She had been employed as a switchboard operator for the Miriam Hospital, Providence for over 30 years. She leaves behind four sons, Allan and his wife Cindy, Brian and his wife Sandra, Steven and his wife Wendy, Kevin and his wife Jill. Joyce was the proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Brian Mocogni.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, May 12th at 10 am in St. Jude Church, Front St., Lincoln. Burial will be in the R.I. Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI. Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Wednesday from 5 - 8 pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln.
