passed away unexpectedly at home on June 23, 2016 at the young age of 62. She was a lifelong resident of Rhode Island, born and raised in Central Falls, and later resided in Riverside with the love of her life Helder (AL) Gois. She was the daughter of the late Henry Guyer and Beatrice (Gregoire) Guyer.
She is survived by her three "miracles".. her children David Guyer, Dawn Lapan-Pickett, and Amy Medeiros. She also had five grandchildren Damon Guyer, Marissa Lewis, Bradley Pickett, Kiri Guyer, Noah Brayall, Abigayle Medeiros, and Gavin Lapan Brayall. She just recently became a great Memere to her first great grandson Andrew Lewis Jr.
Denise also leaves behind her siblings, Robert Guyer, Therese Paul, Lucien Guyer, Gerard Guyer, and Annette Guyer.
Denise was a graduate of Sawyer School in Pawtucket. This was one of her proudest achievements as she did it later in life. She worked in Medical records at Carty's nursing home in Central Falls.
A funeral is scheduled for Saturday July 2, 2016 from 2 - 4 pm at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln.
As an expression of sympathy her family is asking that you do not spend your hard earned money on flowers but instead donate money to the Tomorrow Fund. This is a non-profit organization that helped her daughter Dawn when her son Gavin had leukemia. Denise cared for Gavin every week after his chemotherapy so that Dawn could work. She was a woman with a big heart who loved her children and grandchildren more than words could say. Http://www.tomorrowfund.org
