98, passed away on July 31st at the Harris
Health Care North. He was the husband of Dora (Gagne) Desmarais. Born in Canada, a
son of the late Joseph and Alberta (Bosquette) Desmarais and moved to Cumberland at the
age of 16. He had been employed by Washburn Wire as a crane operator for over 30 years
before retiring. He was one of seven siblings. Besides his wife, he is survived by many
nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to the staff of Harris Health Care North and Hospice for all the special
attention and support given to Gaston and Dora. Services will be held at a time to be
announced.
