76, died peacefully on Friday, August 5th surrounded by family. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Irene A. (Marcotte) Pelland, their children David and his wife Sharon, Paul and his wife Elin, Nicole and her husband Reynaldo Ortiz, Debra and her husband Dan Johnson, John and his wife MaryAnne, James and his fiancee Deana Archambault and their 24 grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Normand and his sisters Rita Zeoli and Claire Morin. He was predeceased by his sisters Pauline Travis and Lillian Perreault.
Bob was a veteran of the Navy and a carpenter by trade. Ordained to the deaconate in 1982, he spent much of his life volunteering and ministering to others throughout the Fall River and Rhode Island dioceses and at Camp Ker-Anna.
Visiting hours are from 4 to 7 PM on Wednesday, August 10th at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1030 Dexter Street in Central Falls, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Spirit on Thursday, August 11th at 9:30 AM. Bob will be buried at the Rhode Island Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, R.I., on Friday August 12th at 1 P.M. Everyone is welcome to join the family for the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Camp Ker-Anna, 500 Reservoir Road, Cumberland, RI 02864.
