82, of One Mendon Rd, passed Saturday at the Memorial Hospital. She had lived most of her life in Pawtucket and Cumberland.
Born in South Attleboro, a daughter of the late Ovila and Cordelia (Jacob) Viau.
Gladys' life was an adventure, traveling to Italy studying dry-cleaning and seamstress techniques to hosting a radio show in California and RI, She worked as an entertainer at various venues for many years. Her generosity was felt by many.
Gladys had worked for the former Keenon Cleaners, Pawtucket Dress and LaSalle Cleaners. She had also been employed by Mr. USA Cleaners of Pawtucket retiring in 1991.
She is survived by her sister, Theresa Thibert- Martin of Cumberland and a nephew, Leo Tetreault Sr. and his wife Marie of Cumberland, great nephew and niece, Leo Tetreault Jr. and Nicole Tetreault.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited, calling hours Tuesday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Woodlawn Baptist Church, 337 Lonsdale Ave, Pawtucket RI 02860.
