73, passed on September 14th surrounded by her loving family.
She was the wife of Andre J. Petit. They would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on October 14th. Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late
Gaston and Rosa (Casse) Collignon. She was the organist and choir director at Historic St. Joseph Church, Cumberland for 22 years before retiring in 2014. Besides her husband she is survived by her four daughters, Diane Petit of Cumberland, Danielle Carrignan and her husband Joseph of Lincoln, Celeste Kulz and her husband George of Cumberland and Christine Mellor and her husband Jeffrey of Scituate, nine grandchildren, Amanda and Jessica Carrignan, Nathaniel, Abbigail and Tyler Mellor, and Marissa Amber, Brianna and Andrew Kulz, a sister, Sr. Julliette Collignon SSA and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Rhea Levesque, Sr. Anne Collignon SSA, Louise Collignon and Bro. John L. Collignon.
Her funeral will be held Monday, September 19th at 8:45am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian burial at St. Jude Church, Front St, Lincoln at 10am. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 4 to 7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation, PO Box 11454 Alexandria, VA 22312.
