92, passed on October 19th. She was the wife of the late A. Michael Reilly.
Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late William and Anna Gouvalaris.
Sophie was a Pawtucket West High School Class of 42 graduate and had been employed by Hasbro of Pawtucket. She saw the early development of such iconic toys such as Mr. Potato Head and GI Joe. She then worked for the Town of Lincoln, Parks and Recreation Department loving her involvement supporting sports activities throughout the town. Sophie was a beloved Red Sox fan following the team extensively for over 75 years, a devoted fan of Ted Williams and proud to experience World Series victories.
She is survived by her son, Michael A. Reilly and his companion Jennifer, her sister, Helen Gouvalaris and nieces and nephews from the Walker, Larose and Gouvalaris families. She was the sister of the late Thomas Gouvalaris.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 22nd at 11am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Saturday morning from 9am-11am
