83, passed on November 22nd. She was the daughter of the late Domingas C. and Candida B. (Benchimol) Monteiro. Alice had been employed as a nurse for many years.
She is survived by two siblings, Neal B. Monteiro and Salomao B. Monteiro. She raised nephews Lucas Monteiro and Hirondina Monteiro as her own. She is also survived by great nieces and nephews: Aline,Janiz,Estaline, Zelinda, (The late) Adilson, Carine, Jason, Candida,Jemal,Jemil,along with many other nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 26th at 9:30am in the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Camp St, Providence. Burial will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Friday, November 25th from 5 to 8pm in The Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln.
