was born in the twilight city of Barquisimeto in Venezuela, on July 14, 1965 and died on November 25, 2016 at his house in R.I. Although he was the life of the party, and enjoyed being part of his most dearing Salsa y Gaitas Band, his heart, soul and strength were his four (4) children Leonela Gabriela Escobar 28, Oriana Sinaith Serrano 25, Leonardo Arturo Escobar 17, y Leon Arturo Escobar 15. In addition he was blessed with two (2) grandkids Luciano Manuel Martins Escobar 6, and Fabian 2. Leon is survived by his loving mother Rosa Blanca Alvarez, and brothers and sisters Betzi J. Campos, Rafael A. Escobar, Victor H. Escobar and Isabel C. Escobar. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends. Leon touched the life of many with his happy, fun and yet respectful personality, many unforgettable memories will long-lived in the heart of those whom he loved and knew. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 3rd from 4 - 6 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. at the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln. Burial is private.
