age 65 of Cumberland RI, passed away at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, on Monday January 23rd with his adoring wife holding his hand. "Ernie" as he wished to be called, was the husband of Helen (Charpentier) Emery since Sept. 13th, 1969. Together they had two children, Keri Mosichuk (Mark) of North Smithfield and Carin Emery of Cumberland. He also has three grandchildren; Allison Mosichuk, Nicholas Mosichuk and Dylan Bombardier. He was the son of the late Roger Emery Sr. and Flora (Dalphe) Emery. He has one brother Roger Emery Jr. (Roberta) of Smithfield, and two sisters;Elaine Cativo (Hugo) of South Attleboro, MA and Christine Shackleton (Patrick) of Pawtucket, RI. He also leaves behind many sisters in law, brothers in law and nieces and nephews.
Ernie was a truck driver for a few local delivery companies until his retirement. He loved to cook (made an awesome doughboy), to do fresh water fishing, and to travel (most especially to Las Vegas) as well as spending time with his wife.
At his request and in his honor, the family will gather for a private memorial service. He also wanted to acknowledge all the friends that he and Helen shared, all the friends and extended families of his children and siblings and ask that they simply take time to enjoy doing something with each other rather than come to gather in mourning. So, tell jokes, eat something fun (and not nutritious) and enjoy the company of folks you choose. Smile and raise your glass in his honor!
