73, passed away March 22nd 2010 surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born in Providence, he was the beloved husband of Ann M. (Salera) Stanley for the past 53 years. He was the son of the late Thomas and Amy (Cooper) Stanley.
Charles was a self employed paving contractor for over 40 years. He was a loyal husband, caring father and grandfather, and a wonderful friend to many. He loved his dog Teddy who always guarded him jealously.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Charles E. Stanley, Jr. and his wife Barbara; and his two grandchildren; Lauren Stanley and Thomas Stanley. He is also survived by Nicole Mollica who was like a daughter to him. He leaves two brothers; Samuel and George Stanley, and one sister; Betsy Marotte. He was also the brother of the late John, Noah, and Joseph Stanley.
His funeral service will be held Friday at 10am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, followed by committal prayers in the Chapel of Swan Point Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited, calling hours Thursday 5 to 8pm. In lieu of flowers, we encourage donations to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
