83, passed on February 22nd with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of Manuel de Pina, Born in Brava, Cape Verde, a daughter of the late Carlota Pires and Manuel Baptista.
She had been employed by Providence Braiding and International Packaging for many years.
Besides her husband she is survived by eight children, Ida Pires, John Manuel Pires, Carlota De Pina, Julia Pires De Pina, Maria De Fatima Pires De Pina, John Pires Pina, Maria Isabel Sadlier, Elizabeth Pires De Pina, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late Joao Baptista Pires De Pina.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Monday, February 27th at 10am in Mount Hope Community Baptist Church, 734 Hope St., Providence. Burial will follow in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4 - 7pm at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln.
