74, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 14, 2017 at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Peru, a daughter of the late Ricardo and Elena (Guerra) Yanez. "Cucha", as she was lovingly known, will be remembered for her contagious sense of humor.
She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Brito and her husband Pablo Capanaro of Providence and Jacqueline Juarez and her husband Javier of Cranston; four brothers, Enrique, Miguel, Roberto and Ricardo Yanez; three sisters, Elena, Carolina and Gladys Yanez; six grandchildren, Sheldon, Flavio, Javier, Wendy, Evelyn and Andrea; four great grandchildren, Camila Ribera, Matias Ribera, Valeria Matta, Natalia Matta; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was predeceased in death by two brothers, Gino and Juan Yanez; and two grandchildren, Oscar and Fatima Tizon.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 21st at 8:45am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, followed with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Mary Church, 538 Broadway, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours will be held Monday, March 20th from 5 - 8pm. Relatives and friends are invited.
