82, left us on March 17th, 2017 at Landmark Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born in Central Falls, the daughter of the late Leona (Bergeron) Michalczyk and Edgar LaChance.

Dolores lived in Pawtucket for several years before moving to San Diego, CA in 1972 and returning to RI in 1979. She lived in Central Falls, Pawtucket and Providence for many years, most recently residing in Woonsocket. She enjoyed dancing, music, Elvis, the ocean and flowers, but her passion was cooking large meals for her family, friends and neighbors. Dolores had a contagious laugh and was very generous to her daughters and family. She will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Mary DeCosta-Burnham, son Nezario "Joe" DeCosta, and grandsons, Matthew and Joseph Burnham.

She is survived by her daughters, Geraldine Groen of Long Beach, CA, Debbie Nievera of Narragansett, Dolores "Dee" Jensen of Scituate MA, and Jacqueline DeCosta-Pattison and her husband Robert, of Cumberland. Her grandchildren, James Groen, Jesse Burnham, Mario Monteiro, Erin Nievera-Pompey, Kristina Jensen-Gallagher and Anastasia Pattison. She also leaves three Great-grandchildren, MacKenzie Pompey, Marley and Olivia Gallagher and Sofia Kirylo, a sister, Cathy Benevides and several nieces and nephews.

Dolores also had four grand-doggies she adored, Chloe, Sophia, Josie and Mack.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, March 25th, from 12PM - 2PM in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in her name to: Crossroads, RI Domestic Violence Program.
