91, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 25th surrounded by family. He was the loving husband of Constance F. (Lataille) Baris. In addition, he leaves behind his youngest sister, Margarite (Baris) Duquette; two children, Richard Baris and his wife Virginia of Kingman, Arizona, and Donna (Baris) Fitzpatrick of Attleboro, Massachusetts; 6 grandchildren, Michael Baris, Christopher Baris, Diana Grandstaff, Amy Biagioni-Chmura, Kaitlin Fitzpatrick, and Kelsey Fitzpatrick; and three great-grandchildren, Alyssa Grandstaff, and siblings Landon and Cora Baris. He was predeceased by his daughter, Debra A. (Baris) Biagioni.
Hubert lived most of his life in Central Falls and Pawtucket, Rhode Island. He was a member of the US Navy and served during World War II. While in the Navy, he was honored with the World War II Victory Medal, the American Area Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Medal, and the Philippine Liberation Medal.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, March 30th at 9:30am at Holy Spirit Parish in Central Falls, RI. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care Rhode Island, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
