75, passed on May 22nd with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Lawrence L. DaSilva. Born in Brava, Cape Verde, she was the daughter of the late Manuel J. Goncalves and Maria (Tavares) Goncalves. She loved music, traveling and dining out. Having fun with her family and friends was her everlasting joy. Ilda will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her children, Armando J. DaSilva and his wife Diana of England, Mario DaSilva and his girlfriend Robin Colpitts of Central Falls, Susette DaSilva-Mathis and her husband, Major Gerald A. Mathis stationed in Senegal, ILda Mariza DaSilva-Rocha and her husband Antonio Rocha of Lincoln, Yolanda DaSilva-Melo and her husband Rui Melo of Central Falls. She is also survived by grandchildren Erica DaSilva, Zachary DaSilva, Nikia DaSilva-Lopes, Antonio "TJ" Rocha, Chezney DaSilva-Gomes, Skye DaSilva-Mathis, Nyila DaSilva-Rocha, Justina Morais and Cydnee & Niki Mathis. Ilda is also survived by nine siblings, Joao T. Goncalves and his wife Edith, Auxilia DaRosa, Jose M. Goncalves, Manuel G. Goncalves, Jose G. Goncalves, Augusto G. Goncalves, John G. Goncalves, Ana G. Goncalves, Ida G. Goncalves-Veiga, many nieces, nephews and loved ones. She was the sister of the late Julia Lopes, Alice Gomes, Jose DaGraca, Rita Goncalves, Viriato Goncalves, Victoria Gomes, Gabriel Gomes and Antonio DaGraca.
Her funeral will be held Friday, May 26th at 9:45 am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Raymond Church, 1240 North Main Street, Providence at 11 am. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5 to 8 pm.
