was born in the beautiful greenery of Zacapa, Guatemala on October 10, 1937 and passed away in the colorful city of Providence, Rhode Island on June 29, 2017. He worked various manufacturing jobs in textiles, electronics, and jewelry, but his real passion was as a mechanic. He loved singing and playing the guitar. In the summer, he enjoyed planting tomatoes in his backyard, and sharing them with friends and family. He made people laugh often, always telling a joke or funny story.

Hector was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with a firm testimony of our Savior and Redeemer. His charitable spirit for others also defined him. He actively made efforts to help and serve when people were in need, and had a strong compassion for all types of animals. Most importantly, he was a committed father that loved and supported his children above all else. In his 79 years, he touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children: Cynthia Morales, James Morales, and Jessica Morales. He is also survived by his niece and nephew, Celita K. Vargas and Jose D. Vargas, who loved him like a father, and his many brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, and countless cousins.
