74, of 466 Hunt St, died peacefully Saturday at the home of his son, Michael. He was the husband of Anzetta E. (Leighton) Moreau. They have been married for 51 years.

Born in Albion, a son of the late Esdras J. and Oglore R. (Descoteaux) Moreau.

He was the proprietor of Pete’s Barber Shop for ten years and had also worked for the Central Falls School Department and Housing Authority.

Andrew was a Navy, Korean War Veteran; he served aboard the USS Lake Champlain CV-39 and retired after 20 years of service in 1971. He was a former member of the Lefebvre VFW Post, American Legion, Post 14 Cumberland, the Blackstone Valley Fleet Reserve Association 132 and the Major Walter Gatchell Post 306.

Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons, Michael Moreau of Cumberland, Gregory Moreau of Lincoln, Stephen Moreau of Bellingham and Christopher Moreau of Pascoag. Three brothers, Charles E. Moreau of Cumberland, Gerard N. Moreau of Coventry and Robert E. Moreau of Smithfield. He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Dorothy Clavet, Roland and Lucien Moreau.

His funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:15am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Matthew Church, Dexter St, Central Falls at 9:30am. Burial with Military Honors will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland, Relatives and friends invited, calling hours Tuesday 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Sr. Bea’s Ministry, 1030 Dexter St, Central Falls RI 02863.
