47, passed tragically on August 9th while trying to save a friend.
He was the son of Betty Ann (Abbatematteo) Duarte of Riverside and the late Joseph D. Duarte Jr. Besides his mother, he leaves his closest cousins, Marisa Vincent, her companion David Santos, Thomas and Patricia Vincent and was the loving "uncle" to Destiny and Alannah Vincent. Steven has a huge collection of friends that will miss his unselfish love.
He had been employed as a welder by New England Steel, Cranston for many years. Steven was a friend to all; he had a contagious laugh and gave all he had to others.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a committal service on Friday, August 18th at 1pm in St. Ann Cemetery, 72 Church St., Cranston.
