88, passed on October 22nd. She was the wife of the late of Edmund Zabinski.
Barbara was the daughter of the late Paul and Anna (Vaughn) Caffrey and resided most of her life in Cumberland. She is survived by six children, Daniel, Robert, Stephen, Mark and Paul Zabinski and Kathleen Bradshaw, 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two siblings Dorothy Masse and Raymond Caffrey, and a granddaughter, Jennifer Zabinski.
Barbara spent a good part of her life as loving wife and mother raising her family. It was later on that she earned her degree in nursing at Rhode Island College, subsequently working as a Registered Nurse at Butler Hospital. Upon retirement, she felt called to found a charismatic prayer group which met weekly at her home. It soon outgrew that space and began to meet at St. John Vianney Church. Through her prayer and actions, she harvested many souls for Jesus over the years. Her inspirational words brought many to a relationship with the Lord.
Her funeral will be held Friday, October 27th at 8:45am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Aidan Church, 1460 Diamond Hill Rd, Cumberland at 10am. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Mother of Life Center, 400 Atwells Ave, Providence, RI 02909.
