48, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 30, 2017. Born in Pico, Azores he is the son of Leocadia Ferreira and the late Manuel Oliveira.

Joe completed the Culinary Arts program at William M. Davies Jr. Career and Technical School. Having found a passion in baking he continued for almost 25 years creating everything from daily bread to memorable cakes and pastries.

Joe is survived by his loving wife Deolinda and daughter Makayla. He also leaves behind his devoted mother, Leocadia Oliveira, and siblings, Maria Helena Gouveia, Maria Alice Pacheco, Donaldo and Ricardo Oliveira.

Joe enjoyed spending time with his family exploring Slater Park, feeding the ducks and riding the Merry-Go-Round. The best part may have been the dessert at Friendly's after all the fun.

Joe was a caring guy, always ready to help. His contagious smile cheered all those around him, and his heart of gold spoke his truth.
God has received another angel in heaven. May he rest in eternal peace.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 3rd at 10am in St. Anthony Church, Lawn Ave., Pawtucket. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4 - 7pm at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln. Relatives and friends are invited.
