87, formerly of Central Falls, entered into Eternal life November 5th at the St Antoine Residence, North Smithfield.
Born in Central Falls, she was the devoted daughter of the late Walter O. and Loretta (Morrissette) Lemay.
Gal was employed by Standard Romper, Central Falls, Keith and Keith, North Attleboro, MA and retired from A. T. Cross, Lincoln in 1992.
Gal was a communicant of St Matthew's Church, now known as Holy Spirit Parish and was a member of the parish women's bowling league for many years.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Walter J. "Bill" Lemay and her sister and brother-in-law, Laurel & Oscar Champagne and her niece Loreen (Champagne) Hakeem.
She leaves her sister-in-law, Shirley Moon Lemay, her nephews, Dennis and Michael Champagne, Jeff and Jay Lemay and her nieces, Patrice Fitzgibbons, JoAnn Gauthier, Joy Lafreniere and Dawn Pawlitschek Arruda, several grand nieces and grand nephews, several cousins, including Claire Cournoyer, Jeannine Lagasse and Raymond Dufort, her godchild, Charlene Snyder and her dear friend, Gloria McManus.
Calling hours, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited, will be Friday at 8:30 AM at The Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln RI followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM at Holy Spirit Parish, Dexter St, Central Falls RI. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Gal's memory may be made to the St Antoine's Residence Special Care Unit Activities Fund, 10 Rhodes Ave, N. Smithfield RI 02896 or to Beacon Hospice, One Catamore Blvd, Unit 1, E. Providence RI 02914.
The family would like to thank the caring staff of St Antoine's Residence Special Care Unit and the staff from Beacon Hospice for their kindness, care and support.
