age 95, formerly of Pawtucket, RI, died October 8, 2017. She was the widow of Lester C. Swordfager of Syracuse, NY. She was born in Columbus, GA, to Rev. and Mrs. C.E. Shaw of Lakeland, FL. Martha's sister, Rev. Stella Hughes, predeceased her. She is survived by two nephews, Fred S. Hughes of Berry, FL, and Charles Arthur Hughes of Arcadia, OK, and many friends. She will be buried with a prayer at Valley Cemetery in Syracuse, NY, where she will lay to rest next to her beloved husband, Lester C. Swordfager. Martha will be remembered for her positive outlook and deep faith.
