49, passed away peacefully through the gates of heaven on November 30, 2017. She was born in Brava, Cape Verde and was the daughter of the late Ines DaRosa and Antonio Coelho. Stepdaughter of Ana Mendes Coelho of Sacramento, CA; She is survived by her precious children: daughter Stephanie DePina, and son, Jason DePina, by whom she will forever be remembered; her loving companion Domingos Fontes; her brothers: Jose DaRosa of Pawtucket, RI; Belarmino DaRosa of Central Falls, RI; Julio Coelho of Brava, Cape Verde; Marcelino and Tony Coelho of Sacramento, CA; her sisters: Domingas DePina of Pawtucket, RI; Maria Gomes of Pawtucket, RI; Carolina Coelho Gibau of Sacramento, CA; Marie Tavares of France; Alicia Coelho-Waller of Las Vegas, NV and Ana Tavares of Praia, Cape Verde; many nieces and nephews and by her second family at Steere House in Providence, RI.

Irene was the main attraction at any event. She was loving, beautiful, charismatic, spunky, fun and to anyone who had a chance to meet her, just special. Her personality was raw, bold, and filled with spice. She was selfless and giving, which made her a great CNA. She recently was named 2017 Employee of the Year at Steere House because of her hard work, commitment, dedication and care for her patients and their families. Above all else, Irene was a mother that always put her children first. We will miss her smile and endless funny stories. Irene filled all of our hearts with love. Although the coming days will be difficult, she would want us all to remember these wonderful things about her and live our lives to the fullest.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, December 5th at 8:30am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, High St, Pawtucket at 10am.
