83, of Butler Ave, passed Saturday at home with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Theresa (Menard) Mongeau. They have been married for 61 years.

Born in Central Falls a son of the late Theodore and Arore (Poulin) Mongeau.

He had been employed for many years by the former Crompton Knowles and then worked for Carol Cable retiring in 1989.

He was a lifelong Communicant of St. Matthew Church, A member of the Knights of Columbus and the CYO of Woonsocket.

Besides his wife he is survived by three sons, Ronald, Charles and Bernard “Bernie” Mongeau, brothers, Laurent and Rene Mongeau, sisters, Estelle Mongeau and Lucille Aubin, six grandchildren, a great grandson and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Maurice and Lucien Mongeau.

His funeral will be held Thursday at 8:15am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Matthew Church, Dexter St, Central Falls at 9:30am. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends invited, calling hours Wednesday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Beacon Hospice Care Inc. RI, or the RI Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
