50, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Jose M. DaLuz for 28 years. Born in San Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of Francisco and Maria Teresa (Resendes) Estrela.

Besides her husband and parents she is survived by her children, Brandon and Kristen DaLuz; her brothers, Luis Estrela and wife Patricia, Joe Estrela and wife Jane, and Robert Estrela and wife Kim; her sisters Theresa and husband Messias DaLuz and Michelle and husband Mark Clifford. She leaves behind her granddaughter, Madison Daluz along with nieces and nephews; Nathan, Justin, Devon, Austin, Amanda, Justine, Nicholas, Makayla, Rachel, Lucas, Sydney and Caitlyn.

Louisa immigrated with her family to the United States in 1978 at the age 11 and has since resided in Rhode Island. She worked as an Electronics Assembler/Team Leader at Pentair Electronic packaging in Warwick RI.

She was adored by all who met her and beloved by her family. She was known for her magic touch with babies as there was no crying baby that she could not soothe. She was affectionately called the "engineer" by her family because she possessed quite a knack for creating and designing almost anything. She was the DIY Queen and was a master at sewing, crocheting, gardening, cake decorating, event planning and so much more. Louisa was a selfless matriarch who would give the shirt off her back to those she loved.

Calling hours will be Friday, February 2 from 6-9pm. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, February 3rd at 9:15am at the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave. Lincoln, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am at St. Anthony Church, 32 Lawn Ave., Pawtucket. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Relatives and friends are invited.
