62, passed away peacefully on February 6th. He was the loving husband of Hortencia (Cabral) Sousa. Born in Sao, Miquel, Portugal he was a son of Maria (Celina) Sousa and the late Elias Sousa.

He is survived by his children, Magda Morris and Fabio Sousa; granddaughter, Kianna Morris; seven brothers and sisters, Elias Sousa of Canada, Fatima Cabral, Filomena Giesta, Jose Sousa, Clara Goularte, Belinha Ferreira and Celina Sousa, all of New Bedford.

He loved fishing and being near the ocean most of the time. Growing up he was part of the sportsman fishing club where he was presented with multiple trophies. In the recent year he spent his time with family and enjoyed riding his bicycle.

His funeral will be held on Saturday, February 10th at 8:15am from Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, followed with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Anthony Church, Lawn Ave., Pawtucket. Burial will follow in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5 - 8pm. Relatives and friends are invited. In Lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
