93, passed away on February 12, 2018. She was the wife of the late James Greaves for 65 years. She was born in Central Falls, the daughter of Fred and Regina Mailloux. She is survived by her daughter Claire O'Connor and her husband Robert of Cumberland RI and her son Robert Greaves and his wife Diane of Warwick RI. She was the grandmother of 4, great grandmother of 7 and the great great grandmother of 2. She is also survived by her sister Claire Barker of Warren, RI. Rose was the sister of the late Alice Hay Hurst and the late Fred "Lou" Mailloux.
A longtime resident of Cumberland, RI, Rose was an active member of St. Patrick's Church in Cumberland. Rose was a past president of the Cumberland Terrace Association and she was voted volunteer of the year for 2017 at the Cumberland Senior Center. Rose retired from Nulco manufacturing after 10 years as personnel secretary. Prior to that she was employed at American Textile for 20 years. Rose was a devoted family member, a fun loving, feisty mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed playing Bingo and cards with her friends and family. Rose will always be fondly remembered for her sense of humor, her laughter, and for bringing smiles to all who knew her. She will be sadly missed.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, Feb. 17th at 8:30am from Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Aidan Church, 1460 Diamond Hill Rd., Cumberland. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Calling hours will be on Friday from 4 - 7pm. Relatives and friends are invited.
